A young jockey lives between adrenaline and danger on the racetracks. When an accident throws him out of the race, his world begins to crumble. What follows is a physical and emotional drift in which time, identity and desire become blurred. The story unfolds freely, beyond a classical structure: memories, visions and gestures interweave to create a fragmentary portrait of inner chaos.

Luis Ortega (EL ÁNGEL, LULÚ) films with formal freedom and a sensuality that leaves all realism behind. His moving camera turns every image into an exploration of the body as a place of change. In this universe of light, noise and excess, the supposedly intimate drama is transformed into a sensual and ambiguous cinematic experience.

EL JOCKEY oscillates between thriller, melodrama and fantasy, offering a look at self-destruction and renewal that is as physical as it is enigmatic. A portrait of the uncertainty of our time, in which identities dissolve and cinema becomes their most honest mirror.
