The story revolves around forensic psychologist Ira Samin, who has no will to live after the tragic loss of her eldest daughter. But shortly before she can take her own life, she is called to a dramatic hostage-taking case: An unknown person has stormed the studio of the Berlin radio station 101Punkt5 and turned the harmless telephone quiz "Cash Call" into a deadly game. Every wrong sentence from a caller means the death of a hostage. His demand? He wants to see his fiancée - but according to the police, she is long dead.
