LAWN CHAIR have been an integral part of the German indie scene for three years now. So far, the band has released two EPs in collaboration with producers Olaf Opal (The Notwist, International Music) and Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and played countless gigs all over Germany. In addition, a first tour of England, rousing support shows for Sleaford Mods and gigs at festivals such as Immergut Festival and Fusion were just the latest milestones for the ambitious band. In 2024, it was a little quieter around LAWN CHAIR, who worked intensively on their debut album and spent long studio sessions developing a sound that is unparalleled in the German indie scene.
LAWN CHAIR are back! Their long-awaited debut album YOU WANT IT! YOU GOT IT! in their luggage, they will be making the stages of clubs and festivals unsafe in 2025 and making fans sweat with the energetic shows with which the band has made a name for itself in the German and English indie scene. YOU WANT IT! YOU GOT IT! deals with life in late capitalism, caught between cell phone addiction and toxic masculinity, between the longing for success and inner peace, always accompanied by the inescapable imprints of one's own origins. The band around singer and frontwoman Claudia Schlutius packs all of this into a captivating genre mix of post-punk reverberations, uncompromisingly dry guitar riffs, poppy basslines and driving synthesizers, stylishly staged by producer Olaf Opal
with stylistic confidence. Inspired by style-defining bands such as DEVO, Broadcast and Beck, YOU WANT IT! YOU GOT IT! is a gripping examination of the contradictions of modern life.
Städtische Manieren is an experimental rock band from Germany. Oscillating between brutal honesty, poetic curiosity and unfiltered joy, they are constantly exploring the full range of guitar, bass, vocal and drum sounds. They juggle the alternative aesthetic of the 90s and contemporary avant-garde, mixing in disjointed disco and punk elements to create a strangely unique, hypnotic sound and intense live shows bursting with energy. Their debut album "Posterchild" will be released in October 2025
