Christ, fully human

Good Friday, one of the highest holidays in Christianity, is honored with two expressive Passion oratorios by early music luminary Jordi Savall and his ensemble Concert des Nations in a way that could not be more impressive in any cathedral. Although fundamentally different in character and genesis, the works by Haydn and Beethoven are united by their immediately moving music and the message of Easter.
