The Leopold Mozart Quartet spans an arc from antiquity to the present day and is dedicated to impressively Greek-influenced soundscapes. The focus is on works by the two Munich composers Minas Borboudakis and Konstantia Gourzi. The program is complemented by two rarely performed rarities: Harry Partch's "Two Studies on Ancient Greek Scales", inspired by ancient tonal systems, and the 3rd string quartet by the important Greek composer Nikos Skalkotas.
