LesArt.Festival: Julia Regett - Egal, sagt Aal

In the organizer's words:

Eel is a very unusual fish: self-confident, carefree and headstrong, eel cares little what the other animals in the pond think.

Whether it's the sticklebacks teasing Aal because it looks so different from other fish, Bernd Biber doubting that Aal can swim all the way to the sea or the trout trying to stop Aal from swimming on its back - Aal's answer is always: I don't care! Until the moment when Fred crayfish bursts into tears and Aal's stomach suddenly hurts ...

This light-hearted picture book story from the pen of "Knotenklaus" creator Julia Regett shows how it is possible to remain true to yourself and at the same time not lose sight of the needs of your fellow human beings - or rather: fellow animals.

Julia Regett lives in the hustle and bustle of Cologne. Wielding a paintbrush and letting her ideas bubble over - that's when Julia starts to tingle. In addition to illustrating, she enjoys working on large canvases in her studio, riding around on her bike and designing postcard motifs. Her children's books "Eine kleine große Reise um die Welt" and "Lass es raus, Knotenklaus" have already been published by CalmeMara.
