Without soccer, Lena Cassel would not be who she is today. But without women like her, soccer wouldn't be what it is today either - a sport for everyone.

Lena Cassel comes from a humble background. She discovered her passion for soccer at an early age. As a girl among boys and as a woman among men, she asserts herself. When she switches to the sports show, she sits on the reserve bench for a long time: Archive editorial team. Allegedly "too loud and too colorful" for in front of the camera. Today, that is precisely her trademark.

This is the story of the coming of age of a woman and a sport. Inspiring, emotional and humorous. From one of the most sought-after sports journalists and podcasters of our time.

Lena Cassel, born in Cologne in 1994, was a striker for SV Allner-Bödingen, SC Fortuna Köln and Türkiyemspor Berlin. She worked for Sportschau and as a reporter for stern TV, among others. She presented HerthaTV and was part of the ZDF "Fußball-Talk" in the Mainz basement. Since 2022/23, Cassel has presented the UEFA Champions League highlights show for Prime Video. She currently also hosts the Bundesliga broadcasts on DAZN and, together with Maik Nöcker, has hosted the podcast Fussball MML Daily and the podcast Playing Dirty - Sport und Verbrechen since 2022. Cassel lives in Berlin.
