Calle Claus, born in 1971, studied illustration at HAW Hamburg and graduated in 1999. Since then he has worked as a freelance illustrator, comic artist and author.
His comic publications include "Galáo to go - Das Schanzen-Babes-Album", "White Line" and "Dorle" (awarded the ICOM Comic Prize in 2017). He has been a freelancer at Ully Arndt Studios Hamburg since 2000 and writes for children's and youth projects such as "Die Teufelskicker", "Mecki" and the "Die drei ???" graphic novels. Calle Claus teaches illustration, comics and storytelling at various institutions.
