Lesung: Mascha Kaléko – Eine Dichterin auf den Schwingen der Sehnsucht

The Kunstverein Unna invites you to a reading in the exhibition rooms on Thursday, 30.04.26 at 7 pm.

The young Mascha Kaléko conquered the hearts of city dwellers in Berlin during the Weimar Republic with her wonderfully tender poems, from which her charm and humor speak. Her poetry is always infused with a pinch of irony; sentimentality, on the other hand, does not suit her. This special mixture of melancholy and wit, coupled with timeless topicality and political acuity, gives Mascha Kaléko's poetry its irresistible appeal.

Seven authors from the Dortmund Hörde writing workshop and the LiteraturRaum DortmundRuhr have been inspired by the texts and life of the poet Mascha Kaléko.

To mark the 50th anniversary of her death, they present poetry, prose and self-written songs.

KVU[plus] - event as part of the exhibition "Naomi Akimoto, Viviana Meretta, Tomoko Sato, Natalia Wehler - Going Glowing", which can be seen at Kunstverein Unna from April 24 to May 17.
