We cordially invite you to attend the reading with Dr. Ingrid von der Dollen on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 3 pm! The event is part of the supporting program accompanying the exhibition "Ida Dehmel | 1870-1942: Her life, her time | On the founding of GEDOK 100 years ago".

In her new book Die verfemten Malerinnen des 20. Jahrhunderts - Zur Kunstdikatur der NS-Zeit, the author presents 33 women painters, vividly linking their biographies and art. Dr. Ingrid von der Dollen shows how the work of women artists was brutally interrupted by the dictatorship of National Socialism. The book introduces Charlotte Salomon, Elfriede Lohse-Wächtler, Alice Michaelis, Lotte Laserstein, Felka Platek and many other impressive personalities.
