at Café DuckDich in the Engelsburg, followed by a discussion about the book.

In the book, authors Maria Kanitz and Lukas Geck examine how anti-Semitic narratives are increasingly seeping into pop culture, music and digital public spheres - often under the guise of political positioning or activism. The event takes up these developments and combines academic analysis with current experiences from cultural practice.

In the music and event scene in particular, conflicts over political symbolism, calls for boycotts or anti-Israel representations on stage have become increasingly apparent in recent years. The reading creates space for classification, exchange and critical reflection.

The reading will be followed by a moderated talk with the authors and a discussion with the audience. The moderator will be Romy Arnold from MOBIT e. V. - Mobile Beratung in Thüringen für Demokratie - gegen Rechtsextremismus.
