Immerse yourself in a poetic journey between mothers and daughters - a touching homage to the complex heritage that shapes us, as part of the 25th anniversary LiteraTour Nord in Lübeck and in cooperation with the Buddenbrookhaus.

Information about the book The child practices death on the guinea pig:
She leaves behind three children and a hyphen. She leaves me her friends, her library, her discomfort. I write after her as a missing daughter, as an angry woman, as a silenced poet and wonder how little she lets herself be summoned when I want her to. She has - now heavenly - finally emancipated herself. I write about my multifaceted mother, her wisdom and humor, her husband, the thing with the guinea pigs and me.

Information about the author Nora Gomringer:
Nora Gomringer publishes and performs poetry and short prose, writes for radio and feature pages. In 2024 she received the E.T.A. Hoffmann Prize, in 2025 the Kassel Literature Prize for Grotesque Humor.
