A series of readings on the topic of belonging in society

Everyone is shaped by their origins, personal experiences and adventures. Only the question of "Why?" makes the actions and thoughts of our fellow
thoughts of our fellow human beings transparent. If we then listen carefully to the answers, listening begins the process of understanding, learning, sharing and
development - this applies to both the listener and the storyteller.
Where do I belong? How am I "heard" and perceived by those around me? How do I perceive my environment? What impact does
society have on me? How is my self-image influenced by the views of those around me?
The independent theater company Ensemble La Vie e.V. discusses these and other questions with the help of three authors who have dealt with the topic of "Zu Gehör.t" in different ways.

Society's view of me.
This autobiographical novel is about Lena Christ's life as an illegitimate child
child, her mother's abuse and her search for self-determination and happiness in the patriarchal Bavarian society of the early 20th century.

This autofictional novel depicts the life of a traveling actress who
forced to work as a peddler and prostitute at times due to her poverty. Humiliating life experiences that became a stigma for her
and still shake us up a century later.
