Monastery brothers in need of security, a junk dealer with too much time on his hands and an anarchist demolition expert: an explosively entertaining Munich summer thriller
Gossec has no idea about security. But since his junk store is in the summer doldrums and he therefore has plenty of time to sit in the courtyard with his neighbor Hugo Himmelstraat, pondering his beekeeping and drinking good Belgian beer, he is taken on a job by his buddy Julius: His company CatSecurity has been contacted by the Hohenwartach monastery, where valuable sacred objects are stored in the goldsmith's workshop. Until now, the small lay brotherhood has relied on the saints responsible for burglary protection, but now they are to be supported by modern security technology. Gossec is sent ahead, then CatSecurity installs the software and locking system.
But a short time later, an insurance investigator turns up at Julius' house and asks unpleasant questions: the Joseph Brothers have been burgled and church decorations worth 100,000 euros have been stolen - the burglar used a badge issued in the new security system to gain entry. When Gossec goes to the workshop to investigate on his own, he is knocked out.
Julius, in turn, receives an unannounced visit from his friend Ludger: he owes the ex-con and anarchist burglar the idea for his security company, and it's not entirely clear what he's up to in Munich ...
Once again, award-winning crime writer Max Bronski proves himself to be a great composer of characters and plots.
