Without songs online, without followers - but with a raw demo and talent, LEVKA (real name: Levin, 19) convinced Sony Music. An acquaintance knew an A&R who heard the self-financed €200 demo - and presto: a record deal. A clip of him went viral on the very same day.

Music has accompanied him since his earliest childhood. His Estonian mother sent him to music school when he was four, followed by ten years of piano lessons. Today, he plays the piano as well as the guitar, writes and composes everything himself - oldschool, analog, on the piano at home and via iPhone memo.

His sound? Between indie and pop, never unambiguous, never commercial. "I bring opposites together," he says. He simply wants to be perceived "as a guy who can sing a bit well and make music". And that - in the spirit of past rock star times.
