Mumbai, India 2016

Three musicians from the on-board orchestra of the MS Europa in a cab on their way through the bubbling metropolis to meet the legendary bamboo flute maker Anand Dhotre.

The soundtrack of the pulsating city, which streams through the open windows of the vehicle, reveals the true soul of India to the three of them.

It was at this moment that the idea was born to process their deep impressions musically, and the musicians began to explore Indian music and its traditions.

On Saturday, December 20, Thilo Henn, Wolfgang Klüfer and Marcus Scheltinga will present their idea of this fascinating culture at Cuvée Flingern with original instruments such as sitar, bansuri and soundscapes specially prepared for this evening by field recording specialist and Düsseldorf DJ BORGBORG, mixing them with modern sound design such as loops, chillout/lounge beats and live samples.
