Literarischer Landgang mit Marica Bodrožić

Marica Bodrožić was born in Dalmatia in 1973. She moved to Hesse in 1983. She trained as a bookseller in Frankfurt am Main and studied cultural anthropology, psychoanalysis and Slavic studies. In 2002, she made her debut with stories published under the title "Tito ist tot". Most recently, her autofictional novel "Das Herzflorett" was published in 2024. With poignant empathy, she tells the story of growing up under migration conditions, problematic family relationships and a process of emancipation that ultimately leads to a self-determined life. Marica Bodrožić has received numerous awards for her work to date, most recently the Walter Hasenclever Literature Prize, the Manès Sperber Literature Prize for her complete works and the Irmtraud Morgner Prize. "The heart painting of memory. A journey through my Croatia" was her first documentary film, which she made together with literary critic and filmmaker Katja Gasser and which 3sat broadcast in 2007.

With the Landgang grant, Marica Bodrožić traveled through the Oldenburg region in 2025 and visited Cloppenburg, Jever, Delmenhorst, Nordenham, Wilhelmshaven, Westerstede and Oldenburg. She will now present the text inspired by the trip at the relevant locations. Monika Eden, the director of the Oldenburg House of Literature, is accompanying the reading tour as project manager and moderator.
