About the festival

globale° - Festival for Cross-Border Literature is a unique literature festival in Europe that has been held annually in Bremen and Bremerhaven since 2007. It is organized by the association Globale e.V. in cooperation with many institutions such as the University of Bremen, Theater Bremen and Radio Bremen. The aim of the festival is to provide a forum for the diversity of literature in German, regardless of origin, language or cultural background. Multilingual authors from all over the world who have been inspired by transnational experiences are invited. The festival sees itself as part of the dialogue between cultures and does important work to comprehensively recognize and promote the intercultural literary scene in Germany.
