Literaturherbst Heidelberg - the special cultural festival in the Rhine-Neckar region

Literaturherbst Heidelberg is an innovative literature and cross-genre cultural festival that has become a milestone in the regional cultural landscape over the past ten years and lives the idea of a city of culture as well as a UNESCO City of Literature in nuce both programmatically and structurally. Four festival weeks - three festival months for the first time in 2023 - and over 10.000 visitors at 52 events at venues throughout the city and in several program packages, cooperation with numerous regional literary and cultural players, encounters with well over 100 authors and artists from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, from Germany and around the world: Literaturherbst Heidelberg has long enjoyed nationwide popularity and has received great acclaim for its diverse festival formats, thematic focus and socio-political commitment.
