Literaturperformance: Literatur ist Klang

In the organizer's words:

Vera Rosenbusch and Dr. Lutz Flörke take literature in their mouths, line by line, word by word, sentence by sentence. They read alone, in pairs and in a choir. Listen to texts by Friedrich Hölderlin, Thomas Mann, Ingeborg Bachmann, Kurt Schwitters and others - a sonorous evening with recitation, moderation and wit.
With lyrical texts, sound is a matter of course - the very name of the genre is reminiscent of a musical instrument. But even in prose, sounds, words and sentences have an acoustic dimension. Flaubert already had his "roaring room" in which he tried out the sound of his sentences. When literature resounds, it makes more than just content audible. Sounds, rhythms, ways of speaking create an additional meaning of their own.
