The Cologne-based quintet Lariza, consisting of singer Lena-Larissa Senge, saxophonist Lorenz Schönle, guitarist Raissa Mehner, bassist Duy Luong and drummer Lukas Schwegmann, creates an enchanted world of acoustic and electronic sounds, inviting the five musicians to embark on a sonic journey that is all about pouring the freedom of improvisation into unconventional songs and exploiting the wealth of sonic possibilities. Sensitivity, complexity and topicality are the focus of the joint creative process. Using elements of jazz, pop, fusion and experimental music, they form their own version of contemporary jazz.
