LOK Garden 2026 - the special free & outdoor concert series in the garden of the LOK Cultural Center in Jever

In June and August 2026, we are once again inviting you to the LOK Garden on Fridays. The focus will be on music, which will be performed on the outdoor stage on a restored freight wagon. If, contrary to expectations, the weather does not cooperate, the concerts can also be moved to the hall in the old engine shed. Our concert team has put together a particularly exquisite music program this year, featuring selected bands from the region and all over Germany. Free admission to all concerts, with a hat going around for donations to the bands. In addition to the music, the LOK Garden is also about meeting and socializing. We offer a fine selection of cold drinks. There will also be the opportunity to buy something to eat. However, if you would like to bring your own picnic, you are welcome to eat your own food in the beer garden. Children will also have the opportunity to get creative.

That's FALSE LEFTY.

Veva (AT) on drums and Thomas (GB) on guitar. Reduced to the max - what at first glance seems like a hackneyed advertising slogan is our credo. Three drums and a guitar with only three strings form our sound. As much as the setup may well evoke memories of the White Stripes, the music does not. FALSE LEFTY's unique style moves between alternative rock, indie and post-punk, with a strong rhythmic focus and skillful songwriting. Sometimes even fragile and almost breakable, but always powerful, rhythmic and unmistakable.

Not least through their music, the band creates a unique atmosphere around them that captivates their audience. They also stand for a new era of punk culture, because you can't help but wonder what's behind the unusual band name. Re-educated lefties or false lefties? FALSE LEFTY stands for a clear stance and working-class ethos: more solidarity and less us-versus-them mentality. Or to put it another way: "I would rather be a false lefty, than no lefty at all".
