Imagine the following scenario: an old hip-hop record is playing on a sleepy autumn morning while someone raps to it in a mesmerizing way with clever wordplay - this is roughly the vibe Lord Apex creates with his music. In typical old-school hip-hop style, the West Londoner works with influences between 90s lo-fi, alternative hip-hop and UK hip-hop. His love for anime and vintage clothing influences his visual aesthetic just as much as J Dilla and MF Doom inspire his music. In 2020, Lord Apex was nominated for a UK Music Video Award for his feature on KAM-BU's song "Different", and in 2021 Complex Networks named him as one of 21 UK Rappers to Watch in 2021. 2022 saw him tour Europe both supporting Freddie Gibbs and headlining. Since then, the 25-year-old rapper has released his latest album "The Good Fight" (2024) and the mixtape "Where's Your Feet?" (2024) have been released. On his Smoke Sessions Tour 2025, Lord Apex will be coming to Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne in November 2025.
