Los Flamenquitos

An evening full of fire and passion: you can expect a musical highlight that will touch your heart and senses in equal measure. Los Flamenquitos will whisk you away to sun-drenched Andalusia with pulsating rhythms, virtuoso guitar playing and expressive dancing. Two masterful guitarists and a passionate dancer and percussionist combine traditional flamenco sounds with modern elements - from classics by the Gipsy Kings to captivating improvisations that make the atmosphere of Andalusia palpable.

Nusret Ismailov, founder of the band, comes from a musically influenced Macedonian Roma family. His dance style, trained by flamenco greats such as Farruquito, Antonio el Pipa and Pepe Torres, impresses with its authenticity, expressiveness and sense of rhythm. Whether on his cajón or dancing, Nusret brings emotion to the stage.

Juan Fernández from Almería brings the soul of Andalusia with him: Having grown up in a Gitano family and influenced from an early age by his father, the well-known "El Mori", he inspires with his soulful singing and masterful flamenco guitar playing.

The ensemble is complemented by Steven Pfeffer, a versatile and accomplished guitarist from the Hamburg jazz and flamenco scene with international stage experience.
