With his vlogs, humorous contributions and gripping piano interpretations, Louis Philippson is particularly popular with Generation Z for classical music and has already amassed 750,000 followers. The musical talent of the 22-year-old from Mülheim an der Ruhr was discovered on YouTube at the age of seven by his future piano professor. He became a junior student at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf and has taken part in numerous national and international piano competitions to date.

Alongside his music career, he studies international business and music and works as a presenter for Toggo and ZDF. Louis Philippson's debut album, "Exposition", was released on 14 February 2025, in which he combines his own compositions with new, colorful arrangements of titles from a wide variety of genres. He skillfully combines poetic piano versions of "OMG" by the K-pop band NewJeans with a dynamic arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto, creates elegiac piano versions of melodies from Mahler's Symphony of a Thousand or plays anime classics such as "A Town with an Ocean View" or "Lover's Oath" on the grand piano.

Just seven months after his debut, his second album "My Way", released on September 12, 2025, sheds light on the rapid development of the young pianist, social media star and presenter from "classical music star of Gen Z" (Süddeutsche Zeitung) to one of the pianists of the moment. Louis Philippson recorded his new album "My Way" with the MDR Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Ben Palmer. The new works include the viral hit "Beethoven Virus" for piano and orchestra, "Show Waltz" for piano and orchestra, "Supernova" for piano, soprano and orchestra, as well as several solo pieces for piano.

British broadcaster Classic FM recently included Louis as the only German artist to date in its "Top 30 Artists under 30", while BR-Klassik stated: "With Louis Philippson, classical music has found a new rock star." On the twelve sold-out concerts of his debut tour in May 2025 as well as at the arena shows of the "Night of the Proms" in winter 2024, he inspired thousands of people for classical music. He shines far beyond social media with appearances on "ARD Brisant", "ZDF Morgenmagazin", "BR Abendschau" and "MDR ab 4".
