Young Else struggles - inwardly with shameful resistance - against the forced exposure in front of Mr. von Dorsday, a wealthy art dealer, who is only willing to pay the handsome sum she asks of him to save her father from prison on this condition. In this conflict between wanting to save her father and not wanting to be humiliated as a prostitute, Else struggles to maintain her dignity - in a lustful imagination that extends to a public exhibition. In her turmoil, her morally sharp and revealing view exposes the lies of a privileged society.
"It's like something out of a novel. The noble daughter sells herself for her beloved father and ends up enjoying it. Yikes! ...but that's me, that's me, a slut."

The ambience of the "Altes Kurhaus", including the interior of the former "Havanna" restaurant, inspired Mona Creutzer to adapt Arthur Schnitzler's novella "Fräulein Else". In her production, she turns the audience into direct eyewitnesses of an immoral offer and its consequences.

Paula Luy, already known to audiences for her impressive portrayal of "Camille Claudel" and "Susanna in the Bath", takes on the role of Else. Her antagonist, Herr von Dorsday, is played by Jochen Deuticke.
