The fourth album by Hamburg artist LÙISA will be released in spring 2026. Call Me The Witch is a feminist manifesto that draws its mesmerizing power from the fact that LÙISA has discovered her female rage as a superpower, which she transforms into creative energy and playful lightness. The music she has written in this way and produced in her Hamburg studio is a pop music feast for all the senses. It tells of seeking and finding the magical in a disenchanted world - and of using inner darkness and anger productively.

After all the tours and concerts for her previous album New Woman had been played - including at the Iceland Airwaves Festival and as support for Arlo Parks - LÙISA withdrew for a while to acquire a deeper knowledge of music production. In her small wooden studio in Hamburg, she has created her most personal work to date and has made a tremendous debut as a music producer: Her sound floats between ethereal synth pads, gritty 80s guitars and driving drum beats. The special quality of LÙISA's art lies in the way she uses influences from Kate Bush, the Cocteau Twins and Fleetwood Mac to create something entirely her own, which plays exclusively in the here and now, timeless and yet uncompromisingly contemporary. She was awarded the Female* Producer Prize for her work.

The songs in Call Me The Witch tell of female rage, self-empowerment and resistance to patriarchal norms as well as the rise of authoritarianism - always in search of a magic that will carry us through increasingly sobering and dark times.

However, this music derives its actual witchcraft from LÙISA's playful, confident handling of these dark themes and the way she transforms them into rousing songs: "I want to be the kind of woman that men are scared of when they go home, alone, in the dark", she sings in the title track Call Me The Witch - and rewrites the roles without further ado.

Known for her energetic and intense live shows, LÙISA was invited by Alanis Morissette to open her concert in front of 10,000 people in the summer of 2025. In fall 2025, she will accompany the British mega-band Simply Red on their sold-out arena tour through Germany and Switzerland.

In April 2026, LÙISA goes on her own Call Me The Witch tour - bringing her new songs to the stage live and with the full band line-up
