Maaßkultur mit HANDMADE OHZ

In the organizer's words:

EDEKA Maaß Oberneuland , together with Emotional.Zone, Oberneuland Magazin, Rausgegangen.de and Cafe-Schwarz.TV, has beenpresenting Maaßkultur every Wednesday from May to October since 2023. In the time from 17:30 to 20:30, whereby..., the end of the concert is largely determined by the audience (i.e. you)!

HandmadeOHZ

that's Martin Schröder and Andreas Bethke, two long-time friends and musicians who decided in 2024 to give their musical bond a firm foundation. Many jam sessions together resulted in a duo that embodies handmade music in the best sense of the word: honest, touching and full of expression.

Handmade's repertoire spans a stylistic arc from German-language singer-songwriter art to international singer-songwriter pop. With songs by Reinhard Mey, Hannes Wader and Rio Reiser, the duo shows its roots in German music poetry, while titles by Wolf Maahn and Versengold bring in rock and folk facets. At the same time, Handmade opens itself up to international sounds: the soulful melancholy of Passenger, the casual lightness of Jason Mraz, the soulful depth of Michael Kiwanuka or the catchy melodies of Milow and George Ezra reflect the multifaceted nature of their influences.

Sometimes calm and thoughtful, sometimes driving and rousing - Handmade impresses with versatile arrangements, two-part vocals and a palpable passion for music that touches. Whether in a small club atmosphere or on the big stage: Handmade stands for authentic songs and genuine emotions.

Free admission to Maaßkultur, we collect with the hat. Just come along and enjoy good music and good conversation with acquaintances, friends and strangers, or maybe even a little dance!!!?
Don't worry about Bremen's shietwetter, if it rains too much we'll simply move to our favorite café. The Lieblingscafé will also offer a special snack menu on the evenings of MAASSKULTUR, so you can enjoy your evening meal on site.
Enjoy a few hours of music in a relaxed atmosphere on our (hopefully always summery) square with musicians and bands from a wide variety of genres. And if you like it - musicians love spotlights - then you are welcome to leave something for the musicians and bands...
