On March 8, 2026, Heinz Mack, ZERO co-founder and co-founder of the ZERO foundation, turned ninety-five years old. In his honor, the ZERO foundation is launching the "Mack Lecture" - an annual academic lecture. The lectures focus on topics from Heinz Mack's extensive artistic oeuvre and work.
With "Fernlicht. Intensification of Perception in the Work of Heinz Mack", author and journalist Dr. Niklas Maak will open the first Mack Lecture on 28 April 2026 at 5 p.m. in Heinrich Heine University, Building 23.01, Lecture Hall 3A.
Following the lecture, Prof. Andrea von Hülsen-Esch, Heinrich Heine University, will moderate a discussion between
Prof. Dr. Robert Fleck, Dr. Niklas Maak and Prof. Heinz Mack.
