Magic Sound Stuff: PULSE with Alex Paxton and Lea Bertucci

"highly innovative ... of extraordinary creative imagination and musical energy, packed with vitality like nothing else." These are the words used to describe Alex Paxton's music. He himself simply wants to make magic sound stuff, to create magical sound material. We will help him do this in a world premiere. Magic and the non-material take center stage and together with sound artist Lea Bertucci, PULSE will perform her piece Vapours. Time travel is now also possible: with Wheel of Time we turn this very wheel and end up in the early 80s, when the pioneer and inventor of deep listening Pauline Oliveros wrote her piece for string quartet and synthesizer. As if that wasn't enough, light artist Katrin Bethge will illuminate Gate 40 with her *magical* overhead projections. DJ: Waterfall
