Magro

In the organizer's words:

Berlin-based drummer and producer Magro combines jazz with hip-hop and RnB elements to create an energetic, innovative sound aesthetic.

With his trio (Francesco Beccaro - bass, Martin Lüdicke - keys) and the rapper Rapturous, Magro has performed at numerous international festivals and clubs (including Bimhuis Amsterdam, Ronnie Scott's London, Jazzahead and Jazz In The Park).

In recent years, he has released two albums and an EP, for which he was awarded the German Jazz Prize, among others. His third album will be released in November and includes features from Telemakus and Tom Ford.

As a producer and drummer, Magro has worked with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Wayne Snow, the Rolling Stones Project and Nightmares on Wax, among others.
