Dear people of Mainz, dear children and dear guests, in summer, the people of Mainz are drawn outdoors: the banks of the Rhine, the parks and, of course, the squares of our city invite you to enjoy the summer outdoors. In addition to sun, ice cream and swimming pools, the "Mainz lives in its squares" series of events has been part of the Mainz summer for many decades. This year, too, there will be plenty of entertainment in the city center from 5 August to 11 September 2025: on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on the market square Cultural artists from the region will take to the stage and offer a variety of events for all generations. We have once again been able to attract well-known classics and popular up-and-coming talent for the programme organized for you by the state capital of Mainz. An entertaining children's program with artistry, magic and sing-along children's songs takes place at 4:30 pm. Here the little ones take center stage and can let off steam in front of and on the stage. From 7 p.m., there is a varied evening program for adults, with music, dance and theater for all tastes. In addition, the "Meenzer Science Schoppe" will once again take place, explaining current topics from scientific research in a generally understandable way and presenting Mainz science in an unusual format in the middle of the city. Of course, as always, you can attend free of charge!
