Creative - collective - dynamic! The theater is a multi-layered cosmos in which people in artistic, craft and technical professions work together towards one goal: the premiere evening.
In the large special exhibition 2025/26, we enter the backstage area of the Munich Residenztheater and accompany the current production of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", which premiered on May 16, 2025.
How and under what conditions do people work together in the dramaturgy department, in the workshops or on the rehearsal stage? The exhibition asks what moves the world of theater, today, 50 or 100 years ago, shows highlights from the historical collections of the Deutsches Theatermuseum and invites you to discuss the future of theater!

Unfortunately, there is no barrier-free access to the event and exhibition rooms on the upper floor or to the toilets on the mezzanine floor.
