Marie-Luise Zetchi Bolte invites the viewer to capture the poetry of what surrounds them. Growing up on a farm in Lower Saxony, her life is characterized by intense experiences of nature. The sensitive observation of the real world and the fragile, luminous beauty of living things convey a deep respect for nature and the environment. In her search for the essential, she traces the joy of life and portrays people who retain humor and vitality within. Trained in piano, organ and singing in Hamburg and Paris, the improvisation artist and silent film pianist presents her paintings here and talks to us about trust, spontaneity and the connection between musical and painterly intention.
