Exactly ten years ago, they stood on stage for the first time - a small set in an even smaller venue at Vienna's Naschmarkt, a few freshly written songs, a little nervousness, but a lot of charm. Ten years later, Marina & The Kats have long been more than just an insider tip. They are the figurehead of a new, independent swing movement, have played over 700 concerts, released five albums and sent two tour buses into retirement.
In 2026, the band remains what it was from the very beginning: completely unique and lovingly quirky. Their trademark - the so-called "shared drums", where the band members share the drums - has long been legendary and regularly causes incredulous looks and open mouths live.
