On this evening, Martin Schmid invites you to experience his passion and love of swing.
He sings and dances his way through an enjoyable program full of delicious, evergreen melodies and songs from a time when the music was still swinging and people were still trotting the fox. Dusted off, polished up and in HD.
Jazz fans also get their money's worth with the rousing solos of his fabulous band, when Daniel Mark Eberhard hits the keys, Walter Bittner stirs the drums, Uli Fiedler plucks the bass and Stephan Holstein plays his way into the hearts of the guests on saxophone and clarinet.
Because Martin Schmid has learned from the best: as double bass player for Hugo Strasser's "Hot Five", he worked with swing legends such as Max Greger and Hazy Osterwald and will now carry on their legacy in his own way.
