Masta Ace is the working class hero of the rap industry. Since his debut on the legendary Posse track "The Symphony" 35(!) years ago, Masta Ace has released one solid album after another with incredible consistency and plays dozens of great live shows every year.
"I don't do white music, I don't do black music. I make rap music, for hip-hop kids," is one of his statements. Perhaps this also explains why a large audience has been coming to see his shows for decades.
As a member of Marley Marl's rap combo, the legendary East Coast group Juice Crew (with MC Shan, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté, Tragedy Khadafi and Craig G), Ducal Clear alias Masta Ace then began his solo career. This resulted in numerous collabs with underground rap artists such as MF Doom, Edo G. and producer Marco Polo, who we are also delighted to welcome.
Marco Bruno, better known by his stage name Marco Polo, moved from Toronto to New York City in the early 2000s to pursue his career as a hip-hop producer. Since then, he has become one of the most sought-after underground hip-hop producers on the East Coast scene, as his discography impressively demonstrates.
