In the organizer's words:
Masta Ace can confidently be described as an underground phenomenon: the MC from Brooklyn has been in the business for more than 30 years and has released albums and numerous mixtapes and compilations solo or with various feature partners since 1990.
It all started for Masta Ace as part of the East Coast group "Juice Crew", in which he rapped with other well-known scene acts such as Big Daddy Kane and MC Shan.
In the years that followed, Masta Ace was involved in many style-defining projects both as an MC and as a producer, including Hellbound with future superstar Eminem in 2000.
