Christoph Hochhäusler is a director, author, publicist and lecturer. He studied film directing at the HFF, Munich and was "Senior Lecturer in Directing" at the German Film and Television Academy, Berlin. Hochhäusler is the author of numerous film journalistic works, including as founder and co-editor of the film magazine Revolver. In 2013, his film work was part of the retrospective The Berlin School: Films from the Berliner Schule at MoMA, New York. In 2024, the Diagonale in Graz has dedicated a retrospective to his work.
His seven feature-length films to date have been screened at the Cannes, Berlin, Locarno and Rome Film Festivals, among others, and have received numerous awards.
In the master class, he will present his work and discuss projects from the Filmwerkstatt film lab.
