Masterclass: Daily Sculpture

In this workshop we will focus on developing confidence and self-assurance in creating sculptures from polymer clay - inspired by Frode Bolhuis' "Daily Sculptures" project. You will learn both the technical and artistic aspects of working with this versatile material. We will start from scratch and build our skills step by step through clear instructions, practical exercises and playful experimentation.

Over the course of the sessions, we will work to deepen our understanding of form, texture and color, learning practical techniques such as fixture construction, surface treatment and various finishing methods. Mistakes are expressly welcome - experimentation is a key component - and you will be encouraged to work freely and intuitively.

We will create many small study objects to loosen up and discover new possibilities, as well as several more detailed figure sculptures in which you can realize your new ideas and your own artistic signature. At the end of the workshop you will have a personal collection of sculptures as well as the skills and inspiration to continue working independently.

No previous experience is required - just curiosity and a willingness to get involved!
