What is soul? Emotion, musical style, identity - the Matti Klein Soul Trio combines all of these. On tour worldwide since 2017, the trio has been exploring the possibilities of soul jazz in a new way: with a warm Wurlitzer, Fender Rhodes piano bass (both Matti Klein), wafting tenor saxophone and bass clarinet (Lars Dieterich) and elastic, funky drums (André Seidel). On the release tour of their new album Bouncin' In Bubbleverse, they are delighting critics and soul gourmets alike - with catchy melodies and impressive, long-reverberating social reflections that reflect the diversity of their worldwide touring experiences.
