Anne Freytag, Kira Mohn and Alexandra Blöchl are among Munich's most successful authors. Together with Günter Keil, they talk about what lies behind their books: about writing crises and moments of happiness, correction loops, cover discussions and everyday madness. An evening that shows honestly, wittily and surprisingly how closely writing and life are connected - and why there would be no stories without all this.

Alexandra Blöchl was born in Wuppertal in 1969 and lives as a freelance author near Munich. She has already published bestselling novels under other names. With the

novel, she is now opening a new chapter in her writing career. In October 2022, she received the working grant for literature from the city of Munich.

Anne Freytag studied International Management, graduated just in time for the economic crisis, wrote over a hundred job applications, couldn't find a job, worked in a boutique for a while, registered as unemployed, retrained as a graphic designer, got herself hired as a career changer with lousy pay at various agencies and then finally pursued her dream: Since 2013, she has devoted herself entirely to writing. Anne Freytag lives and works in Munich.

Kira Mohn has done all sorts of different things in her life. Before working as a freelance journalist and copywriter, she studied psychology and education. She founded a music magazine, lived in New York for a while and launched the author label "Ink Rebels" together with four friends. Today, she devotes herself entirely to her work as a writer and lives in Munich with her children. More on Instagram at @kira.mohn
