Dealing with mental health and mental illness is not easy. Neither individually, nor as a society. But what certainly never helps is silence.

So let's get loud! In the brand new event series "mental tracks" we will talk, laugh and sing. We want to create a space that removes taboos and destigmatizes, because the topic deserves attention.

Emotional ballads by Aretha Franklin, danceable hits by the Backstreet Boys such as "I Want It That Way" and contemporary pop à la Billie Eilish: the live shows of the forty-strong troupe open up all emotional channels and are usually sold out within minutes. Extravagant outfits, daring stage performances and lipstick for all have made the choir just as famous as their clear stance against sexism and racism.

Legend has it that the choir was founded 10 years ago in a shared bedroom in Vienna. Since then, it has become an integral part of the Austrian music scene. Collaborations always lead to other worlds, whether theater, visual arts, dance, literature or film.

Charlotte Brandi

In the 10s, songwriter Charlotte Brandi was part of the duo Me And My Drummer. She released her first solo album "The Magician" in 2019, her first EP with German lyrics "An das Angstland" in 2020, including a duet with Dirk von Lowtzow ("Wind"), and finally the critically acclaimed album "An den Alptraum" ("A jewel. Disturbing and beguiling at the same time", ROLLING STONE) in 2023. Charlotte Brandi is "the sharpest sword of the new pop feminism" (Rocko Schamoni) and ROLLING STONE columnist ("Parole Brandi").
