Merete de Kruyf »Zundersaat« Malerei

In the organizer's words:

Merete de Kruyf lives in the Feldberg lake district in Mecklenburg. In her figurative works, she combines photographic source material with abstract, purely intuitive pictorial elements using various transfer techniques. This creates intermediate worlds that leave a contradictory, floating, ambiguous impression and open up space for different interpretations.

In her current exhibition "Zundersaat", a group of friendly, efficient, hands-on specialists emerge to sow the tinder in our world that we need to turn fear into confidence and abandonment into action. These mysterious helpers strike sparks, guide energies in the right direction, sow mysterious substances and ignite the right fire.

As images cannot be erased from our memory once they have been seen, the works and their message will inevitably have an effect on the viewer. This makes "Zundersaat" not least an exhibition about the power of art.
