The Metal For Mercy - Christmas Special - will take place at WERK°STADT in Witten on 20.12.25 at 17:30.

Look forward to a loud and varied concert evening with 10 bands + 1 singer songwriter on 2 stages. There will also be a raffle where every ticket wins. There will also be a table for children with games, things to color and other creative and playful activities.

Bellhaven (heavy metal with prog elements)
With their 2022 debut album "TAVERN TALES", the four guys from NRW landed in Legacy, RockHard and the Power Metal sector, among others. On genre-typical elements like
spandex, clichés and glam and instead focus on Ruhrpott-influenced honesty, detailed songwriting and plenty of hooks and anthems. BELLHAVEN's fanbase grows with every concert, as they succeed in captivating more than just metalheads. They party until everyone's neck is on fire.

Cat o' Nine ( Pirate Folk & Rock)
With the successive retreading of the crew around Cat (viola) and Captain Cooper (guitar, vocals), the line-up was increased from four to six band members. With Mate Martin (bass), Helmsman Schönebeker (drums), Helmsman Tom (cajon) and Doc McBonesaw (guitar, vocals), Cat o' Nine has clearly developed from a pure folk band into a crew whose repertoire is still rooted in folk, but is also recognizably more rock-based.

Clashing Minds (indie/alternative rock)
Clashing Minds have been playing music together since 2017 and, although they are at home in rock/alternative, they also like to try their hand at some genre crossovers. Both English and German lyrics are included and the musical background of the band members is as diverse as the music itself. That is and remains the basic idea behind Clashing Minds.

Coal and Steel (Hard 'n' Heavy)
Coal and Steel is a hard rock and heavy metal band from the Ruhr area. The name refers to the long history of coal mining and steel production for which this region is known. The band loves to write and play music that sticks in your head. Pleasant to listen to, with catchy riffs and memorable lyrics. It's music for everyone. Even for grannies, as the band themselves like to say.

Mavort (Groove Metal)
MAVORT was founded in 2012 by Peter Marquardt (drums) and Stefan Vortmann (rhythm guitar), two men who have been in music for years. MAVORT should be a real heavyweight in their work, always unpredictable and sometimes uncomfortable, but always honest, raw and down-to-earth in their expressiveness.

Motozombie (Alternative Rock)
MOTOZOMBIE combine alternative rock with various stylistic elements from grunge, nu metal, stoner rock and crossover. Their compact songs convince with driving grooves, sophisticated arrangements and catchy vocal lines. The result is an exciting interplay of hard, sometimes brute parts and melodic passages. Formative influences include bands such as Incubus, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, 3 Doors Down and Chevelle.

Redefined (Modern Metalcore)
A thrilling live show with hard breakdowns, paired with brutal shouts, epic clean vocals and melodic guitar sounds become an explosive mixture of heaviness and emotion. 2024 saw the reorientation: Unconditional, Moving, Brachial. With a new sound, Redefined want to captivate the audience once again with an unforgettable show.

SemiWasted (Alternative Rock)
SemiWasted is an up-and-coming German alternative rock band from Witten that has been releasing its own English-language songs since 2016. Their sound combines influences from rap, rock and metal, characterized by powerful guitar riffs, rich bass sounds and energetic drums. The band stands out with their rousing live performances and the support of a creative crew.

Stromschnellen (Punk Rock)
Loudness from the Ruhr area! Between fast punk and honest rock, they combine personal feelings with a socially critical attitude - packaged in German lyrics. The four guys came together at the beginning of 2019 from various band projects and musical genres. They released their first demo Tauwetter in February 2020, followed by the EP Kondenswasser (2021) and their first album Etikettenschwindel (2025).

The Chief (acoustic rock/folk rock) (singer songwriter)
The Chief's musical path began in 1996 in a punk rock band. Until 2004, he wandered through almost every direction of rock music and absorbed some of it. Since 2004, The Chief has been on the road solo and presents his songs, sometimes at protests in pedestrian zones or together with other bands in small clubs.

The Evergreen Donkey (Indie Donkey Sound)
The donkeys are whistling it from the rooftops: The future is green or not at all. the evergreen donkey play music that sometimes tells stories driven by rhythm, sometimes carried by melodies. The band has been around since 2006. In 2011, they won the Bochum Newcomer Contest and have since released an EP and an album and played numerous concerts. Since 2020, the band has been on hiatus, which will be fittingly ended at Metal for Mercy. Stay evergreen!
