Ancient legends based on Ovid

Everything changes - nothing stays the same: stone becomes man, man becomes frog, a god becomes a bull, an old couple becomes trees.
Ovid's Metamorphoses tell of wondrous transformations that sometimes happen to save, often to punish and sometimes to be rewarded by the gods.

Our theater version brings a selection of these transformation stories to the stage. Using language, the body and everyday objects, a lively stage world is created in which the myths of antiquity become contemporary images:
sensual, poetic and witty.

Although they are over 2000 years old, the themes addressed in Metamorphoses are timeless and primeval: Greed, arrogance and vanity, burning desire and hubris, but also love and confidence.
