Midnatt - Dissaray

Midnatt come from Sweden and stand for a form of heavy metal that consciously borrows from the classic sound without seeming like a mere copy.

Founded from an early DIY idea - two friends who simply wanted to start a band - a clearly defined style has developed over the years: direct, melodic, with a feel for dynamics and atmosphere.

Their debut album "Skräckfylld Förtjusning" was released at the end of March via Jawbreaker Records. On it, Midnatt combine their influences from classic heavy metal, NWOBHM and darker, Scandinavian sounds to create a unique overall picture.

What defines the band is less nostalgia than a certain feeling: songs that not only work, but are intended to convey something - similar to what bands like Enforcer or In Solitude create on stage and on record.

Live, this remains correspondingly direct. No grand concept, just a focus on energy, interaction and presence.
