Cross-dressing is a fundamental construct of modern fashion. Fashion queers. For at least 150 years, modern fashion has practiced a juxtaposition of gender stereotypes and sexual desire. Its cognitive potential and revolutionary power lie in a dissonant, harsh and often delightfully excessive interplay. The grammatical categories of "male" and "female" shaped by the clothing regime are juxtaposed. Clichés of femininity and masculinity are not cemented by this movement; they are playfully thwarted.

Accompanying the vernissage "Blühende Kultur" of the P-Seminar exhibition of the Städt. Luise-Schröder-Gymnasium, the Allach-Untermenzing municipal library is organizing this lecture in the school's auditorium.
