The Kulturhaus Schwanen invites you to a new exhibition in the Kunst im Schwanen series: With Momente im Fluss, the artist Georg Ozory is showing works at the Kulturhaus Schwanen that deliberately blur the boundaries between abstraction and suggestion. His paintings and prints move in an open field of forms, colors, lines and surfaces - and create images that always remain in transition.

Ozory does not see art as a final statement, but as a process. Each picture is like a still image from a never-ending film sequence: a frozen moment in which the before and after remain tangible. This results in works that make movement and standstill tangible at the same time. The artist rejects the absolute and eternal, instead he is interested in the fluid, ambiguous and changeable. His works invite the viewer to let their gaze wander, to absorb moods and to allow resonances without being tied down to fixed meanings.

Again and again, free forms condense into something figurative - but even this remains ambiguous. Instead of definitions, symbols emerge, symbols in a state of suspension. Ozory generates atmospheres, moods and "visual sounds" that bring the viewer into an open resonance. Art thus becomes a space of freedom - and at the same time an exercise in letting go of ambiguity.

The artist was born in Budapest in 1945, studied graphics and painting in Vienna and was part of the Stuttgart art scene for many years, including at the Künstlerhaus Stuttgart and the Württembergischer Kunstverein. In addition to his own artistic practice, he led courses in painting, drawing and printmaking and influenced generations of artists in the region.

The exhibition opens on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 7 pm with a vernissage at Kulturhaus Schwanen. Admission is free.
