Momentum #2

In the organizer's words:

Driven by the pulsating beats played live by Franco Mento, three dancers exert themselves to the point of complete exhaustion. Between rhythm and speed, lighting effects and the driving sounds, their movements become a source of hypnotic energy that seems to connect the dancers with the audience: tangible as a kinaesthetic experience in the shared space, the increasing emphasis and increasing exhaustion that becomes the constitutive moment of the production is increasingly transferred to the audience and the bodies of the visitors. Based on research into parkour, a sport that uses every obstacle in the given space as a source and energy for ever new possibilities of movement, MOMENTUM plays with the alluring fascination of losing oneself in the moment and in the impulse to move, and perceiving the here and now through the body.

After more than seventy performances on four continents, the cult piece is now returning after a break in a new version and cast as MOMENTUM#2.
